PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion device which properly detects a winding current of a rotary electric machine based on an element current conducted to a semiconductor element.SOLUTION: A first inverter 20 of an electric power conversion device 1 includes first switching elements 21 to 26, and is connected to one ends 111, 121, and 131, of coils 11, 12, and 13. A second inverter 30 includes second switching elements 31 to 36, and is connected to the other ends 112, 122, and 132 of the coils 11, 12, and 13. The first switching elements 21 to 26 or the second switching elements 31 to 36 with a smaller number of switching in a predetermined period are principal detection elements, and the first inverter 20 or the second inverter 30 with the principal detection elements is a principal detection inverter. A control part 60 detects winding currents Iu, Iv, and Iw based on the element currents of the principal detection elements turned-on. Thus, the winding currents Iu, Iv, and Iw can be properly detected based on the continuous element currents.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
