PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in man hour, while performing wheel stop of a rotor cover.SOLUTION: A rotor manufacturing method for manufacturing a rotor 2 including a rotor core 21 fixed to a shaft 1 integrally rotatably therewith, and to which a plurality of permanent magnets 22 are attached over the circumferential direction, includes a step for applying a cylindrical rotor cover 23 to the outer periphery of the rotor core 21, and a step for forming an annular corner 28 in the rotor cover 23 and a groove 29 recessed between permanent magnets 22 adjoining in the circumferential direction in the rotor cover 23, by pressing the axial end of the rotor cover 23, projecting in the axial direction from the end of the rotor core 21, toward radial inside by means of a plurality of outside collets 42 moving, with the position in the axial direction for the rotor core 21 being defined by a pressing auxiliary member 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
