PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a retardation film achieving a desired orientation angle and having excellent uniformity.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a retardation film sequentially performs: holding right and left side edge parts of a film with right and left clips of a variable pitch type in which a clip pitch in a lengthwise direction varies, and independently varying each clip pitch of the right and left clips so as to obliquely draw a film; and drawing the film in a lengthwise direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
