PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive device capable of detecting a ground short-circuit further reliably.SOLUTION: A load drive device controls drive of an inductive load applied with voltage by a voltage source. The load drive device comprises: a switching element disposed at a high side of the inductive load and interposed between the voltage source and the inductive load to control current to be supplied to the inductive load; and a current detection circuit disposed at a low side of the inductive load to detect a current value of current flowing at the low side of the inductive load. The load drive device further comprises: a short circuit detection resistor interposed between the current detection circuit and the ground; and a reflux diode that is in a forward direction from a midpoint between the short circuit detection resistor and the current detection circuit toward a midpoint between the switching element and the inductive load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
