The present invention relates to a leakage current interruption device for an electrical load, wherein any leakage current, which may flow through the electrical load, can be completely interrupted in a state such that a power switch is configured to be in an open state in a structure such as a house or a building. The leakage current interruption device according to the present invention is installed on a power line, through which electrical energy is supplied to an electrical load, so as to interrupt a leakage current flowing to the load. The leakage current interruption device comprises: first and second input terminals electrically coupled between the power switch and the load, and coupled to the power line; first and second output terminals coupled to the load side; first and second switching units for interrupting electrical couplings between the first and second input terminals and the first and second output terminals, respectively; and a switching drive unit coupled between the first and second input terminals to generate and output a switching drive signal for turning on or off the first and second switching units depending on the on or off state of the power switch.
