<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact thermal printer whose cover can be simply opened by a single touch. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal printer comprises a housing 10, the cover 20, a spring 13a which urges the cover 20 in a direction to separate from the housing 10, a hook 16 which is provided on the housing 10 and engaged with the cover 20 to prevent the cover 20 from moving in a direction to separate from the housing 10, a button body 31 which is provided on the cover 20 and releases the engagement between the cover 20 and the hook 16 when being pressed to move the hook 16, a supporting shaft body 33 which is set at a position separated from the button body 31 and supports the button body 31 rotatably, and a leaf spring 34 which is arranged at the opposite side of the button body 31 on the basis of the supporting shaft body 33 and urges the button body 31 in a direction to separate from the hook 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
