PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately finish the dimension of a workpiece by only a cutting operation, and to eliminate a post-processing step after cutting by adopting a super hard alloy baseplate outer circumference cutting blade having extremely high cost-performance in manufacturing the super hard alloy baseplate outer circumference cutting blade, thereby inexpensively providing a rare earth magnet having high dimensional accuracy.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet is disposed adjacent to an outer circumferential edge of a thin circular ring-shaped baseplate 10 formed of a cemented carbide, and cBN abrasive grains and/or diamond abrasive grains formed by pre-coating with a magnetic material are magnetically attracted and fixed in the vicinity of the outer circumferential edge of the baseplate by a magnetic field formed by the permanent magnet. A cutting blade part 20 is formed by electroplating or electroless plating which connects between the abrasive grains and between the abrasive grains and the baseplate and fixes the abrasive grains to the baseplate outer circumferential edge. A thermoplastic resin with a melting point no greater than 350°C is impregnated in a gap between the abrasive grains and between the abrasive grains and the baseplate, or a liquid-state thermosetting resin composition with a curing temperature no greater than 350°C is impregnated in the gaps between the abrasive grains and between the abrasive grains and the baseplate, and is cured. |
