<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt wearing promotion device enabling positive wearing of the seat belt by imparting uncomfortable feeling to an occupant by hanging down a webbing near the occupant in non-wearing the seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt 11 obliquely restricts the occupant from a shoulder part of the occupant to an opposite waist part by the webbing 12 guided to a guide support part 16 provided at an upper part of a side part of a cabin and winding and unwinding of the webbing 12 are carried out by an electric retractor 15. Uncomfortability is imparted to the occupant by hanging down the webbing 12 from the guide support part 16 by driving the electric retractor 15 to unwind a predetermined amount of the webbing 12 in non-wearing the seat belt 11 in the state that an ignition switch 21 is turned on.
