The invention relates to a method for monitoring a session for supplying a certain service, at least one data stream being associated with said session, said method comprising: obtaining, from a session monitoring message, or generating, in accordance with a type of said service, a session monitoring policy to be implemented in the event that at least one data stream is inactive, i.e. in the event that a data stream associated with the session is not established or is prematurely released; sending said session monitoring policy in a session monitoring message to a monitoring entity in charge of implementing said session monitoring policy; and, upon detecting an inactivity of at least one data stream, implementing said session monitoring policy. |
