PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that reduces a difference in magnetic flux density between the N magnetic pole and the S magnetic pole at an end of a magnet roller when seen on the surface of a developer carrier to reduce unevenness in carrying of a developer.SOLUTION: A magnet roller 29 is non-rotatably arranged inside a developing sleeve, and a plurality of N magnetic poles and S magnetic poles continuing in the longitudinal direction are arranged on the outer peripheral surface thereof. Magnetic material each having a volume set for the magnetic poles to reduce a difference in increase of magnetic flux density of each of the magnetic poles at a corner part at an end of the magnetic roller 29, are partially removed at the end of the magnetic roller 29. In a fan shape area at the end of the magnetic roller 29 corresponding to the N magnetic poles present in larger number on the outer peripheral surface of the magnetic roller 29, the volume of the removed magnetic material is larger than that of the fan shape area at the end of the magnetic roller 29 corresponding to the S magnetic poles present in smaller number on the outer peripheral surface of the magnetic roller 29.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
