PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of efficiently cooling a cooling target.SOLUTION: The projector includes: a first circulation flow passage formed in a sealed space S for circulating a first fluid that cools a cooling target (a polarization conversion element 325 and an electro-optic device 34) disposed in the sealed space S; a second circulation flow passage for circulating a second fluid to which heat of the first fluid is conducted; and a third circulation flow passage for circulating a third fluid to which heat is conducted from the second fluid, and for radiating the heat conducted to the third fluid while circulating the third fluid.
