HF surgical cutting instrument with endoscope - electrodes form double helix supported by insulation block

A surgical cutting implement of bipolar high frequency type, carried inside an endoscope for bladder operations, and requiring only low voltage, has the two electrodes (1, 2) wound onto a bridge piece (3) of insulating material in the shape of a curved arm (12) supported across the ends of the two tubular sleeves (10, 11) which pass through the body of the endoscope. The two windings form a double helix, and grooves are machined in the bridge piece to support the windings using a special cutter with two cutting tips side by side of the required shape and size.
