<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide γ-crystallin with new or modified binding properties, and to provide a method for producing the γ-crystallin. <P>SOLUTION: The mutated γ-crystallin having new binding properties is provided, wherein the amino acid exposed on the surface of the γ-crystallin is mutated, the amino acid is positioned in 2-4 β chains in at least one β sheet of the γ-crystallin, the β sheet, the β chain and the amino acid are positioned on the surface of the γ-crystallin, the mutagenesis is selected from insertion, deletion, substitution and combination thereof so that the mutated γ-crystallin has new binding properties, but the γ-crystallin before mutagenesis has no binding property on the β sheet structural surface where the amino acid is mutated, and that of after mutagenesis has new binding properties. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
