PURPOSE:To properly replace a thermally reversible recording medium by providing a heating printing means forming an image on the thermally reversible recording means, a heating erasure means and a count means for integrating the number of times of using the medium. CONSTITUTION:The loop like recording medium 1 provided in an apparatus main body 5 is fed in the printing feed direction shown by an arrow A by a feed motor 6. At this time, the recording medium 1 passes through a heating erasure part 7 composed of a heater and a heating printing part 8 composed of a thermal head for forming an image to receive the application of heat. A counter 9 counting the use number of times of the recording medium 1 at each time when an image is formed and a non-volatile memory 10 storing the value of the counter 9 are provided in the apparatus main body and the value of the counter 9 is added to be stored in the non-volatile memory 10. This addition is continued and, when the use number of times reaches the number of times showing a replacing period, the replacing period of the recording medium 1 is informed on the recording medium 1 by printing. |
