PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain the calcined beta-alumina tube having a high circularity by vertically placing a beta-alumina tube obtained by a dry bag molding method on a prescribed molded raw setter and subsequently calcining the tube. CONSTITUTION:A raw body having the same composition as that of a calcined beta-alumina tube 1 is molded by a multi-shaft mechanical press method to obtain a raw setter 2 giving a difference of + or -1% between the calcination contraction degrees of the raw setter 2 and the beta-alumina tube 1. The dry bag-molded B-alumina tube 1 is vertically placed on the raw setter 2 and subsequently calcined to produce the beta-alumina tube. |
