PURPOSE:To eliminate any water stagnance attributable to the inhabitation and proliferation of bacteria by fusing a clot of resin in a butting part between the end face of a thermoplastic resinoid pipe and an electric fusion joint to the full, and eliminating the occurrence of a clearance and a step difference on the inner surface due to the imperfection of melting or fusion. CONSTITUTION:A ring stopper 3 having an inner diameter D3 almost the same as an inner diameter d1 of a thermoplastic resinoid pipe P, is formed in the recess part of a pipe socket 2 of an electric fusion joint 1, and an inner diameter D2 of this socket 2 is formed into a size insertable till the thermoplastic resinoid pipe P is reached to the stopper 3. An energizing heating element 4 is embedded in an inner circumferential part of the socket 2 in the circumferential direction, while another energizing heating element 5 is also embedded in the stopper 3 in the circumferential direction. |
