CONSTITUTION:The material 4 to be machined wherein the cooling liquid 37 is poured is mounted on a rotary table 30 and while this rotary table 30 is driven to rotate continuously or intermittently, laser beam machining is performed. In addition, the material 4 to be machined wherein the cooling liquid is poured is arranged in a hermetically sealed vessel 3, the inside of this vessel 3 is made to a substitutive gas atmosphere, the surface of the material 4 to be machined is irradiated with the laser beam through a transparent part of the hermetically sealed vessel 3 from the outside and plotting is carried out on this surface by the irradiation locus. Consequently, even when the inside of the hermetically sealed vessel 3 is made to an inert atmosphere to prevent oxidation and ordinary decoration machining, rainbow coloring machining, etc., are carried out and conversely, the inside of the hermetically sealed vessel 3 is made to a high oxidizing atmosphere and decoration machining, etc., utilizing the form of a hardening mark, etc., and oxidation coloring are carried out, the satisfactory machining quality can be attained. |
