SUBSTANCE: new 1-alkoxy-3- alkylalumacyclopentanes of formula I: R wherein CH<SB>3</SB>, C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>5</SB>, n-C<SB>4</SB>H<SB>9</SB> is n-C<SB>4</SB>H<SB>9</SB>, n-C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>13</SB> or CH<SB>2</SB>Si(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>3</SB>,, R is <EMI ID=0.118 HE=15 WI=36 TI=CHI> are useful as catalyst complex components in processes of polymerization and oligomerization of olefin and diene hydrocarbons. Alkoxyaluminium dichloride and metallic magnesium react with mixture of alpha-olefin and dichloroethane in tetrahydrofuran in the presence of zirconium tetrachloride as catalyst. Reaction is carried out in argon atmosphere under normal conditions for 8-12 hours. Yield of the desired products is 65-84%. Method makes it possible to prepare 1-alkoxy- 3-alkylalumacyclopentanes having high regioselectivity. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 15 ex, 1 tbl
