PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically drain a flaw detection liquid and reduce an operator' s load and improve productivity by connecting a two-way piping that opens into a water tank and a reserve tank to the delivery side of a pump. SOLUTION: A drain 9 is connected to the delivery side of a pump P as in supply piping (a) and forks to an upper pipe 901 and a lower pipe 902 halfway. In an initial state, a piston 6 advances and at the same time the pump P operates and water level in a water tank 1 increases to a fixed position. When the welded part of an object W to be inspected is dipped into a flaw detection liquid, ultrasonic waves are transmitted from a probe 8 to inspect the welded part. When the inspection is completed, the piston 6 retreats, water in the water tank 1 goes down, and at the same time the pump P stops. Then, a lower pipe 902 is opened into a reserve tank 7 that is located at the lower position than a drum D, the flaw detection liquid staying in the drum D is unloaded into the reserve tank 7 through the drain 9 due to the siphon's principles. |
