<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and surely operate a robot from a remote place by correcting the failure caused by the delayed transmission of commands accompanying an increase in communication load. SOLUTION: The image picked up by means of a CCD camera 13 is transmitted from a radio LAN 15, received by means of another radio LAN 21, and displayed on the display of a personal computer 20 for operating robot. The operator of the computer 20 recognizes that, when a working robot advances as it is, the robot comes into collision with an obstacle on the display and inputs an operation command instructing the computer 20 of the stoppage of the robot. The inputted operational command is received by means of a server 14 through the radio LANs 21 and 21 and the robot stops. The time until the server 14 receives the operational command after the image of the obstacle is picked up by means of the CCD camera 13 varies depending upon the communicating speed of the communication between the server 14 and computer 20. When the communicating speed becomes slower, the moving speed of the robot is limited.</p> |
