PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step for getting on and off a truck capable of absorbing collision energy. SOLUTION: A fragile members 9 axially compressible and deformable in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle are mounted through the brackets 7, 8 on the left and right step supports 5, 6 for fixing a getting on and off step 2 fixed to a rear part of a bumper of a door lower part at a cab side, and one of the brackets 8 is provided with an engagement part 8a engaged with a front wheel 3 in the collision for controlling the outward displacement of the step.
