OVERVOLTAGE CONTROL METHOD OF CRANE POWER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An overvoltage control method of a crane power system is provided to prevent damages on human bodies and materials due to transient voltage or surge occurring in a power line or a communication line. CONSTITUTION: Equipments are protected from a power obstacle surge occurring indirectly through an arrester by installing an MOV(metal oxide varistor)(10) in the central of a transient voltage suppressing device(16). In the upper of the MOV, an electric bulb(14) lighted on by transient voltage and a fuse(12) stabilizing a power supply are installed. If an impulse type transient voltage occurs, a TVSS(transient voltage suppression system)(16) transmits the voltage onto the ground. According to bulb lighting, a worker recognizes the occurrence of transient voltage and checks peripheries carefully.
