PURPOSE: A method for connecting an internet telephone by a serial number of a hot phone is provided for totally managing an ordinary phone, a mobile phone, a personal computer(PC) to a phone on the internet, a PC to a PC an operating system, an electronic mail and other messaging services by the serial number of the hot phone, so that a user may freely connect with any apparatus by just one phone. CONSTITUTION: A user registers a serial number of a hot phone, a telephone number and a user's ID on a server. The server performs authentication for the user's ID and the serial number. If the user requests a call, the server connects the user to a receiver computer by the serial number. When the server connects the call, the server decides whether the server is connected with the corresponding required computer, If so, the server connects the hot phone of a receiver client through the receiver computer. If the corresponding required computer is not connected, the hot phone of the client is immediately connected with the hot phone of the receiver computer on a public network.
