PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk system in which selection and setting of priority items about write-in speed or the like in accordance with a situation can be performed by a user, and write-in operation desired by a user can be performed, when write-in processing to an optical disk is performed by an optical disk drive. SOLUTION: In a host computer transferring write-in data to an optical disk, the user can select and set en block priority items about write-in speed or the like by a user when write-in processing to an optical disk is performed by an optical disk drive (step 16), for example, by performing such selection/ setting arbitrarily that write-in in which security that buffer-under-run is not generated takes priority is performed and a processing time takes priority even if buffer-under-run is generated, according to a purpose and situation of a user, write-in operation desired by the user can be performed.
