PURPOSE: A side-view-mirror for a vehicle is provided to easily observe the side rear dead zone through a convex mirror together with a plane mirror by installing an auxiliary mirror mounted with the convex mirror to a mirror housing. CONSTITUTION: A side-view-mirror(100) for a vehicle comprises a mirror housing(40); a plane mirror(41) attached to the front of the mirror housing; an auxiliary mirror(20) coming in/out of the mirror housing; an auxiliary mirror-lifting device lifting the auxiliary mirror; and a control part driving the auxiliary mirror-lifting device. A convex mirror(22) is attached to the front of the auxiliary mirror. The auxiliary mirror-lifting device comprises a motor; a pinion combined to a rotating shaft of the motor; and a rack combined to the lower end of the auxiliary mirror. The rack engages with the pinion.
