PURPOSE: A radio for audio/video apparatus connecting is provided to supply a radio signal to an input terminal of an audio/video apparatus, in order to output a radio sound from the audio/video apparatus, so that a user can listen to the radio at low installation cost. CONSTITUTION: A radio apparatus(10) comprises as follows. A radio tuner(12) extracts a radio signal having a specific channel frequency among radios received in an antenna(11). A controller(13) controls the radio tuner(12) according to a control command inputted from a DVD player. A storage(14) stores an operating program of the controller(13). An OSD generator(15) generates an OSD when an LCD monitor is operated. The OSD generator(15) generates a character to be displayed on a display of an audio/video apparatus under control of the controller(13), and transmits the generated character to the audio/video apparatus.
