PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a good image by reducing the attaching of toner and paper powder from a transfer belt to a photoreceptor by eliminating the toner and the paper powder attached to the transfer belt. SOLUTION: A first cleaning member 245 to mainly remove the toner is provided on the outer periphery surface of the transfer belt 244. Elastic material 246 stuck to the transfer belt in a specified pressure is provided on its downstream side to prevent attaching of the toner and waste material, such as paper dust, to the photoreceptor 22.
