PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for heavy load, capable of suppressing heat build-up of a tread rubber, lowering a hysteresis loss and realizing a fully deep-groove tread pattern, together with further improving wear resistance and uneven wear resistance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire for heavy load, is composed of a rubber composition compounded with 40-60 pts.mass carbon black based on 100 pts.mass rubber component consisting of 30-80 pts.mass natural rubber and/or synthetic polyisoprene rubber, and total 20-70 pts.mass styrene-butadiene rubber and butadiene rubber. The styrene-butadiene rubber contains Sn, and the tread rubber is composed of a rubber component comprising the Sn-modified styrene-butadiene rubber containing 20-45 mass% styrene component and≤30 mass% vinyl amount.
