PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust colors, even if aging variations etc. occurs with respect to color adjustment of printed image of a printer. SOLUTION: The apparatus consists of a means for printing an image, a means of automatically reading the printed image, while the means for printing image is printing, a means for comparing the image data to be printed by the printing means with the image data read by the image reading means, and a means of performing color adjustment, on the basis of the result of the comparison.
