<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement low-cost prevention of illegal conduct, i. e. illegal steal of money from a money outlet of a money container during transportation of the same, by a third party. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a money container unlocking mechanism 20 to implement the prevention of the illegal conduct, which functions to unlock an openable door arranged in the money outlet of the portable money container 10 mounted in a cash handling device, and is formed separately from the cash handling device. The unlocking mechanism is comprised of a holding device 21, an authentication device, and an unlocking device. The holding device detachably holds the money container and is unportable. The authentication device determines whether release of a lock of the money container is permitted or not.
