POSITIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL FOR NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY AND NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is excellent in output characteristics and cycle characteristics, and provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary mattery provide with the above material.

SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material is an cathode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery containing Ni. Initial particles are condensed to make secondary particles. In a cross-section of the secondary particles, a total cross-sectional area of the initial particles, at least a part of which is exposed out of the secondary particles, is 40% or more of the total cross-sectional area of the initial particles composing the secondary particles.
