PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out hydrogen filling (occlusion) to a hydrogen storage alloy, while carrying out suppression to a heat exchange capacity that corresponds to heat generation of the hydrogen storage alloy not reaching a maximum heating value.

SOLUTION: Supply of hydrogen when carrying out hydrogen occlusion of the hydrogen storage alloy 12 in a hydrogen storage tank 10 is carried out by control a supply pressure of hydrogen by using a regulating valve V1 such that a heating value of the hydrogen storage alloy 12 is 100 kJ/sec or lower.
