<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the abrasion of brake shoes, and to provide a simple brake testing device for an elevator. <P>SOLUTION: The brake testing device comprises: an encoder 23 detecting a rotational position of a motor 11 to generate a position detection signal; a control part 51 moving first and second brake shoes 13, 15 by first and second drive parts 17, 19 to generate an open command signal for opening a drum 11; a speed detection part 52 generating a speed detection signal based on the fact that the position detection signal has been changed by the opening of the drum 11 based on the opening command signal; and a speed determination part 53 determining whether the motor 11 is stopped based on the speed detection signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
