PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable charger by which breakage of a connector is prevented, and a portable information terminal is comfortably used, even during use of the portable charger. SOLUTION: The portable charger 10 for the portable information terminal includes a battery box 10b which can hold or house a battery 10a, a flexible cable 10d which conducts the battery and the portable information terminal, the connector 10e which is electrically connected to the flexible cable, and can be connected to a connector 1a of the portable information terminal, and a holding/fixing means 10f which holds or fixes the battery box at or to a housing of the portable information terminal so that the battery box may be positioned on a side face of the housing of the portable information terminal. With such constitution, the battery box can be held at or fixed to the housing of the portable information terminal, by which the portable information terminal is comfortably used even during use of the portable charger.
