PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for further making the most of the advantage of its function, as to a display device having a radio communication function such as a portable telephone. SOLUTION: A telephone call is made while it is checked that each other's display contents are shared through exchanging display-related information, such as figures and maps in a display part, with an external communication apparatus, by a radio communication means different from telephone lines. Specifically, information is exchanged on whether or not displays are identical. In each other's display parts, one's own position obtained by oneself and the other party's position communicated from the other party are displayed on the identical map. When a state is brought about where there is no map suitable to display the two positions, the other party is informed of this.
