PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for containing liquid hard to cause deformation of an erroneous insertion preventing projection and the like. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 100 to be detachably mounted to a cartridge mounting part of a label printer has an erroneous insertion preventing projection 69 for blocking the insertion to an erroneous cartridge mounting part, which is integrally formed on a lateral face 65 parallel with the insertion direction to the cartridge mounting part, and a protective projection 77 for preventing deformation of the erroneous insertion preventing projection 69, which is provided in the vicinity of the erroneous insertion preventing projection 69 on a front face 55 of the insertion direction to the cartridge mounting part.
