摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an all-electronic zoom image input method that does not use conventional optical zoom lenses and does not deteriorate the image resolution. SOLUTION: An electronic zoom image input method is accomplished which enables zooming without declining the resolution by receiving an input image transmitted through a fixed focal distance optical system having a function of compressing the circumferential part of the input image by means of a photodetector with a uniform pixel density and subjecting the received image to image correction conversion to obtain an output image. It is unnecessary to use a conventional optical zoom lens which is essential but has a complex and large construction. Instead, by using simple fixed focal distance lenses, zoom image input of small, simple and all-electronic systems is realized. Further, three-dimensional zooming, which conventionally requires precise interlock of two zoom lenses, can be realized with a very simple construction without using any zoom lens.
