PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphorescence emitting element material which makes a phosphorescence emitting element have high durability and a low voltage driving characteristics, and to provide the phosphorescence emitting element using the same. SOLUTION: The phosphorescence emitting element material contains bis(carbazol-9-yl)aryls represented by formula (1) (in the formula, R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>can be the same or different from each other respectively and are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of a carbon number of 1-4), and the phosphorescence emitting element contains the material.
