摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce background noise and an amount of sample liquid by improving the efficiency of a specific coupling reaction between a probe solidified on a substrate surface and a target substance in detecting the target substance with use of the probe. SOLUTION: A method for carrying out a specific coupling reaction between a first component and a second component collectively forming a specific coupling pair by supplying the second component onto a plurality of spaced reaction regions formed on the substrate surface and having the first component arranged therein in advance includes the steps of: determining a specific site of the first component as address information in accordance with the shape and/or size of the first component; and regioselectively arranging a liquid containing the second component toward the specific site in accordance with the address of each reaction region having the first component arranged therein, as well as the shape and/or size of the first component, in such a manner that the liquid overlaps with the first component arranged in advance in that region.
