An air flow sensor chip-heating control device of a diesel hybrid electric vehicle, the device comprising: a hybrid control unit (HCU) configured to request an engine control unit (ECU) to stop operation of an engine when the diesel hybrid electric vehicle enters into a hybrid operation mode during operation of the engine, and transmit, to the ECU, vehicle status information when the diesel hybrid electric vehicle enters into the hybrid operation mode; and the ECU configured to decide an operation history of the engine based on the vehicle status information when the diesel hybrid electric vehicle enters into the hybrid operation mode, which is transmitted from the HCU, and determine whether a chip-heating operation of an air flow sensor is performed based on the decision result.
