PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring composition which is excellent in fastness (heat resistance, light resistance, and solvent resistance), is excellent in brightness and contrast ratio when used for a color filter, and is free from generation of foreign matter, and to provide a color filter.SOLUTION: The coloring composition contains at least a colorant, a binder resin, and an organic solvent. The colorant contains a phthalocyanine pigment represented by general formula (1).
