Disclosed are an IP short message gateway and a routing implementation method therefor. Firstly, a correspondence between home identification information and home network elements is configured on an IP short message gateway; after receiving a message, the IP short message gateway extracts home identification information of the message; then the IP short message gateway matches a home network element corresponding to the message according to the previously-set correspondence between home identification information and home network elements; and in this way, the IP short message gateway can obtain routing information of the message, and subsequently sends a subsequent message generated in the processing of the message, to the corresponding home network element according to the obtained routing information. Accordingly, in the present invention, for information that does not comprise routing information, an IP short message gateway can find a home network element of the information by means of the matching by the IP short message gateway, an extra network element and another device do not need to be added, cost of processing information that does not comprise routing information can be reduced, and the processing efficiency is improved. |
