PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of suppressing occurrence of particulate material while neutralizing three-way catalyst whose oxygen occlusion amount becomes excessive.SOLUTION: A controller includes a rich degree adjustment unit 405 configured to make rich degree of fuel of air-fuel mixture larger in execution of a neutralization mode than that in execution of a normal mode. The rich degree adjustment unit 405, in a case where there is an acceleration request in execution of the neutralization mode, executes rich degree reduction control for reducing the rich degree of the fuel of the air-fuel mixture compared to the case where there is no acceleration request.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
