PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine for a vehicle in which travel wind flowing into an engine room can be efficiently used for cooling an engine body or ventilating the engine room while reducing the intake pulsation or the intake noise.SOLUTION: A volume box 13 functioning as a buffer part of intake air in the upstream side of an air cleaner is located at the front side of an engine body. A horizontally longitudinal intake duct 19 is arranged above the volume box 13, and a gap 29 is provided between the intake duct 19 and the volume box 13. A part of travel wind passes through the gap 29 and smoothly flows backward. Accordingly, ventilation of an engine room 3 can be accurately performed, and cooling efficiency of the engine body can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
