A socket for fixing a backlight lamp is provided to move a fixing unit of an actuator according to sliding of the actuator, thereby firmly fixing a terminal of a backlight lamp. A housing(1) receives a terminal(20) of a backlight lamp. An actuator(2) is movable with respect to the housing(1). A contact terminal part(3) contacts with the terminal(20) of the backlight lamp. The contact terminal part(3) includes a support space for supporting a lower portion of the terminal(20) of the backlight lamp. The actuator(2) includes a fixing unit(5) which contacts with an upper portion of the terminal(20) of the backlight lamp and fixes the upper portion of the terminal(20) of the backlight lamp in a pressing manner. When the actuator(2) is lowered with respect to the housing(1), the fixing unit(5) comes to contact with the upper portion of the terminal(20) of the backlight lamp and presses the upper portion to fix the terminal(20) of the backlight lamp to the contact terminal part(3).
