PURPOSE: To provide an ink flying recording apparatus due to a novel theory and the constitutional condition of the' apparatus capable of obtaining stable ink flight. CONSTITUTION: A recording apparatus consists of an ink storage container 1, the rotary roller 3 coming into contact with the ink in the container to form an ink layer 4 on its surface and a heating element substrate 6 having the row of a large number of the heating elements 9 coming into contact with the ink layer 4 on the rotary roller 3 and capable of being driven individually. The heating element substrate 6 has a perforated substrate 7 having a large number of perforations 7a and the heating element substrate 6 and the perforated substrate 7 are laminated at a definite interval so that the heating elements 9 correspond to the perforations 7 and ink is moved to the heating elements 9 from the ink layer 4 by a capillary phenomenon. The state change caused by heat is generated in the ink in the vicinity of the heating elements by supplying a current to the heating elements 9 and ink 8 is flown from the perforations 7a by the acting force thereof to apply recording to a material to be recorded. |
