<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water using microorganism- immobilized carriers which can inexpensively and stably suppress clogging of a screen with the carrier. SOLUTION: In a method for treating waste water using microorganism- immobilized carriers wherein the carriers are fed into a waste water treating tanks 2, 3 and 4 wherein screens 6 are provided for preventing them from flowing out and waste water treatment is performed while aeration is performed for feeding oxygen to the microorganism immobilized on the carriers, the carriers whose specific gravity is lower than that of the waste water to be treated are used and screens 6 are arranged on the bottom part of the waste water treating tanks 2, 3 and 4 and the waste water to be treated is intermittently fed to the waste water treating tanks and when the waste water is fed, aeration by aeration devices 7 is stopped.</p> |
