<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large water holding property by hardening and depositing a binder around the aggregate consisting essentially of tobermolite and/or xonotlite by autoclaving and integrating them into a porous concrete. SOLUTION: An aq. slurry prepared by mixing 100 parts by weight of portland cement, 100 parts of quartzite powder, filler, water, etc., is formed into a board and autoclaved to form a cement-calcium silicate board consisting essentially of tobermolite and/or xonotlite. The waste such as the scraps and cuttings generated in the working is crushed to produce an aggregate having 3-5mm grain diameter. A binder consisting of 50 parts of cement, 50 parts of quartz sand, a water reducing agent and water is mixed with 300 parts of the aggregate. The mixture is filled in a formwork, compacted and autoclaved at 165-180 deg.C for 5-15hr to allow the alkali component to react sufficiently, hence the binder consisting essentially of tobermolite is hardened and deposited around the aggregate and integrated into a porous concrete, and the greening base concrete is obtained.</p> |
