An electrical power supply cable reel has a connection plug 17 with a cable 10 connected to a mechanical vibrator 11 via a switch 9. The flange plate of the cable reel 12 has a compact solid state frequency converter module embedded within it. This converts the power supplied to the vibrator into a 200Hz form at 42V that is required by the vibrator from the 50 Hz mains supply.
