PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conjecture the occurrence of indoor condensation by an indoor unit itself by receiving the output of a condensation occurrence conjecturing means which is provided in the indoor unit to conjecture the condition of the indoor condensation occurrence, and by performing a condensation avoiding operation under the condition where condensation occurs. SOLUTION: A controller 10 which is provided in an indoor unit 2 is equipped with a condensation occurrence conjecturing means 11 and an operation control means 12. The condensation occurrence conjecturing means 11 conjectures the condition of indoor condensation occurrence. The operation control means 12 receives the output of the condensation occurrence conjecturing means 11, and controls the operational action of an outdoor unit 1 and the indoor unit 2, so that they perform a condensation avoiding operation under the condition where condensation occurs. On the basis of the room temperature and the relative room humidity by a room temperature sensor Th-a and a humidity sensor Rh, a dewpoint temperature is calculated. On the other hand, each outside air temperature and wall surface temperature are recognized by an outside air temperature sensor Th-o and an infrared ray sensor Ts, respectively. Therefore, an air conditioner starts the condensation avoiding operation, when the wall surface temperature is lower than the dewpoint temperature. |
